Hillsborough County lane closures for June 2 - June 8, 2013

Hillsborough County, Florida-- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced its non-interstate lane closures for the week of June 2 through June 8 throughout Hillsborough County.

Those who frequent the following roads should seek alternate routes, or plan for extra travel time:

Courtney Campbell Causeway (SR 60) between the Pinellas County Line and the Bayport Drive exit

Affordable Housing Committee meets next week

Tampa, Florida -- The committee that advises Hillsborough Commissioners on Affordable Housing issues meets at 9 a.m. Monday June 3 on the 26th Floor of County Center in Room B.

In addition to advising Commissioners, the Affordable Housing Advisory Board also reports to the Affordable Housing Officer.

County Center is located at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd in Downtown Tampa. For more information contact Paula Harvey the Affordable Housing Department Director at 813 274 6671.

GED test offered on computers in Hillsborough County

Tampa, Florida – Hillsbrough County Public Schools officials have announced a new and improved way for residents to take their GED!

In addition to the old-"school", paper-and-pencil way of testing, the county now has the test available on the computer at the Adult and Career Service Center located at 5410 N. 20th St. They say the traditional version will be available until the end of 2013 at the following testing centers:
